Recently, a Parisian burglar nearly got away with stealing several paintings from the Louvre. However, after planning the crime, getting in and out past heavy security, he was captured only two blocks away, when the getaway vehicle ran out of fuel. When asked how he could mastermind such a daring crime, and then make such an obvious error, he replied,
“I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh.”
(When telling this joke I always insert a local museum and newspaper to begin. For example, if I was in New York, I’d start with “I was reading in the times this morning that the Metropolitan was robbed!”)
Perhaps this was the getaway vehicle?
A few other vans from previous travels.
If you’re a big fan of the van (like me), you’ll love Van life Diaries and their Instagram. Check em out for some rad van photos and stories. BTW, I’m thinking about selling my bicycle and getting a van. Thoughts?
Hahahahahahahaha! Are you sfae, my friend?

I love the message, the photos, and the dad joke! I was reminding Karen that we when first met you, you sang the praises of camping by declaring that “it’s intense!”
The van life strikes me as pretty awesome. Although it’s not either/or since you can rack your bike on the back. Where and how are you now? And when are you coming back this way. We miss you!
Happy holidays! t

Howdy Tom!
I’m in California now, but hitting the road again in January. The bike will be staying in a garage in California for winter. I’m planning to be in the northeast (nyc) for about a month next fall. Maybe I’ll swing down to say hello and catch up. It’s been too long.
Happy holidays!
